Pizzaiolo Gianluca
Gianluca, a wood-fired pizza artisan, has crafted his culinary journey across Europe and Australia. His passion for pizza-making began in Naples, where he absorbed the rich traditions of Neapolitan cuisine from his family. As a child, he reveled in the enticing aromas and flavors lovingly prepared by his mother and grandmother.
Gianluca’s professional career took off in London, where he honed his skills, mastering the art of wood-fired pizza. His quest for excellence continued in Europe, exploring the pizza scenes in Belgium, Austria, and Corsica, adding diverse influences to his repertoire. Deepening his understanding of traditional Neapolitan pizza, he became a true ambassador of its culture.
Gianluca is the head pizzaiolo at SIFT Restaurant and Bar, where he continues to create wood-fired masterpieces. His pizzas blend tradition with innovation, capturing the essence of Napoli while embracing the Australian culinary landscape.
